We supply, install and maintain alarms systems, access systems and camera systems. We also have an in-house level 3 monitoring station and provide extensive messaging services for Northlands local bodies, businesses and infrastructure.
United Security has a long history in the security industry beginning in 1980. It was then that I left my position as Senior Technician at NZPO to work at Detection Alarms, bringing with me my extensive background in electronics. Ailsa and I bought out Detection Alarms in 1983, with our senior technician Peter Sowry buying in as a partner in 1991. In 1993 we opened a Monitoring Station in Kamo, and formed United Security Northland with along Peter Semb (Northland District Security), Jan Wallace (Any Office Service) and George Cherrington (Security Courier Services). In 2000 we bought the monitoring and messaging division of Alpha security and moved to Water Street, finally moving to our current premises at 134 Lower Dent Street in 2004.
We pride ourselves on offering quality products and services to Northland homes and businesses, using our strong knowledge base and long-term relationships with suppliers to bring you the very best in security solutions.
