Health and Safety is everyone’s responsibility and United Security Northland is committed to maintaining the safety and wellbeing of employees and expect every one to accept the challenge of making our organisation a healthy and safe place to work, for all our staff, visitors and contractors.
United Security Northland’s procedures and systems have been developed to provide a structure by which Health and Safety can be effectively managed and to provide our employees with the necessary training and tools to carry out their duties in a professional and safe manner.
Through it’s managers, supervisors and staff, the company takes all responsible and practicable steps to eliminate, isolate or minimise existing and potential work hazards in order to prevent injury or illness and ensure that employees understand Health and Safety requirements relevant to their roles. All employees are required to work to the procedures that relate to their job.
United Security Northland’s procedures and systems have evolved through contribution from a large number of staff and are endorsed by the Directors. All staff have ownership, ready access and are encouraged to integrate these systems into their daily operations.
The Health and Safety Systems are reviewed annually by management and staff representatives to ensure that processes and procedures are updated appropriately.
Toolbox meetings are carried out fortnightly by all staff to go over work in progress and upcoming work to identify any potential hazards and risk areas.
This annual review also ensures that we maintain our compliance with all regulatoryrequirements, industry best practice and ACC procedures.
