We needed to increase the security level at five of our satellite Courier Post sites which had power but no phone lines.

We have no use for phones at those sites and the additional cost of five business connections was considerable as the sites are largely in commercial areas, so sirens would not have been that effective. I approached Brent at USN to see if he could solve our dilemma.

Our Solution

United Security Northland installed five standard Paradox alarms with internal and external sirens and GPRS data interface units to directly communicate with their Whangarei monitoring station.

This gave us full service monitoring (we needed to know that our busy drivers always remembered to switch the alarms on) as well as significant savings by not needing to have a phone line at each site.
